D&M Design Electric, Inc. was formed in 2003 by Dawn and Michael Petroff. Michael A Petroff is an OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer. Trainers are authorized to conduct 10- and 30- hour outreach training in accordance with the guidelines provided by the OSHA Training Institute. To start a cash flow the company did not competitively bid work, but instead took electrical work that no one else wanted and wired farmstead buildings, corn dryers, and rewired houses. As the company name and reputation became established new residential and commercial projects came from the word-of-mouth of our customers. As our customer base increased, so did our reputation, which brought us projects such as: Air National Guard Fuel Testing Lab project, Alltel cellular tower Lennox, SD, Waubay campground, Menards security camera project Mitchell, SD, both Sioux Falls, SD Menards security camera projects, and service in the Sioux Falls Menards.

Michael Petroff started in the electrical industry in 1979 and has obtained a very diverse electrical background over the years to bring to the consumer. Dawn Petroff has many years of financial and management experience, which ensures Design Electric, Inc., is progressing in a positive and professional manor. The company services the Sioux Falls and the surrounding area and a few customers in the State of Minnesota. Our company selects and trains top-quality technicians for all types of electrical challenges, from simple wiring and repairing, to installing complete systems in a new or existing structure.
